Is the sky movies Christmas channel using this lovely ident (with clips and logo adjusted) or something different this year?

There is a new ident this year, thankfully it uses the same style as the popup channels from the previous presentation era. Skip to 01:04 for the ident.

Sky are now offering advertiser sponsorships for Sky Two - which may or may not indicate a renewed interest in the channel, according to a poster on DS' Sky information thread.

Any Sky One shows where a sponsor comes on board will automatically be taken out of the schedule

Does this mean any Sky One show with a sponsor (I would assume the good programmes attract sponsorship) won't be shown on Sky Two?

Doesn't this limit the value to the Sky Two sponsor?

I don’t think this implies they’ll be doing anything different with the channel, they’re just taking advantage of an extra source of potential revenue. Most channels that have been sponsored long term have been minor ones lower down the EPG, they’re offering sponsorship of Challenge as well.

I think sponsoring a channel is mainly limited to idents and breakbumpers rather than sponsoring the programmes themselves so this shouldn’t effect what they show.

Challenge had sponsorship for what seemed like forever from Viakal.

Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool sponsor seemingly every programme on CBS Reality these days. Same for Casillero del Diablo sponsoring almost everything on Sony Movies/Movies4Men. It's just going to be something along these lines. Probably a last ditch attempt to make some money off the channel before they change it into something else or close it altogether. It's a complete waste as it is currently.

And La La Land and probably another form of media used to sponsor ITV2's entertainment repeats, maybe even now. It's nothing to moan about. It's just a way of sponsoring programming at a late, early or low-viewing time.

The channel does its job as a way of making more money from Sky's back catalogue, they've got there core channel brands that they focus on, everything else is purposefully secondary and there's no reason why they'll be changing Sky Two anytime soon.

Currently sunning it up somewhere in Mexico in 30 something temperatures. I noticed that the Spanish version of Sky Sports on Sky Española is still using the old Sky Sports logo.

Sky UK is the only one using the lowercase logos as far as I know, Germany and Italy still have logos in capitals. Didn't know Sky were in Mexico.

They had the Arsenal V Tottenham game on Sunday just gone complete with the Premier League graphics and English commentary. I took a 'point your phone at the TV' picture but the Metropol upload service changed how it's shown.

Yeah the other Sky services in the world just take the premier league world feeds produced by IMG some of them also take the PLTV channel feed.
