The Sky Cinema section is still using the old one for me but TV guide uses new.

To be honest I don't like the fact the channel name is under "Sky Cinema" rather than part of the logo.

It's laid out like this for me

This is what I want to be seeing on the idents & promos. Never really understood having the boxed logo then the rest of the channel's name underneath it.

That's a very long logo though to fit into the relatively small space EPG's give to channel names/logos. I'm not surprised if they use the same style as Sky Sports do now with the name under the Sky Cinema title.

Elements of the Sky Sports branding already do this - the DOGs for example.

But something along the lines of what has been implemented for Sky Cinema would make it staid and dull, in comparison.

I would have thought that the refresh could have utilised the logos posted above - sadly that isn’t the case, but despite this, the refresh is fine.

I found this great breakdown on vimeo showing how the previous Sky Living idents and channel promo was created. Not sure why the previous Sky Living branding was so disliked on here, it certainly matched the output of the channel and its production values were very impressive.

I can't see Sky News changing until a graphics change on the channel.

Going to a lower case logo whilst the graphics are all caps is probably why it hasn't happened.

Since there is also a new studio in the works I imagine all three will happen at once.

The look could have been great, and looking at that video, there were several idents never used. The end part of the video with it all put together looks amazing and surely should have been made into an ident or played in different ordered to make several idents, but instead we were just stuck with one for Madam Secretary and one for Scandal which looked a bit lacklustre with very little happening on screen which was the problem.
