Sky's Branding

The new logo appears in Sky Cinema's Christmas advert - linked below. The Christmas channel launches tomorrow - so I would expect the new look to launch at the same time.

Has anyone seen any more new SKY One idents are have there just stick with two?

It will be interesting to see if they just re-jig the existing CGI Cinema idents, as they did with Sky Atlantic. I suppose we'll find out tomorrow.

Just two idents at the moment.

Considering how much simpler it is to produce the Sky One idents, not hard to see some additions coming soon. This pres package has been given a lot more promotion compared to the last few years, and looks more longer term too.

At some point, we could well see some new idents.



The main aspect of the rebrand was logo re-alignment, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the current 2016 idents retained.

On the other hand, I’ll probably get the recording kit ready for 6am...

The Sky Cinema refresh has retained the current idents, but with the same results as Sky Atlantic (background colour is more prominent).

Gives it a slightly more premium look, compared to using white as the background as with every other Sky channel.

Will capture the idents later today.

Worth noting that the old Sky Cinema logos are being used for every channel except for the Christmas channel on the Sky Q EPG

All new logos now.

The Sky Cinema section is still using the old one for me but TV guide uses new.

To be honest I don't like the fact the channel name is under "Sky Cinema" rather than part of the logo.

for instance for all channels but Disney which is "Sky cinema Disney HD"

So apart from the gambling services, is Sky News the last on-screen logo to be re-freshed?

The idents are the same; I suppose this makes it easier to produce similar looking idents for the pop-up channels.
