Sky's Branding

Just seen a billboard on the way to work of just a huge Sky One logo and above it "for entertainment purposes only".

Not sure if it's the style of the ad or the person who put the ad up but the sides of the logo are cut off a bit and it looks slanted slightly but the text above it doesn't.

I saw that yesterday, and it's the style of the ad as I saw two others as well with the logo unusually placed but with different taglines. One had about 20 copies of the logo on

They ran similar ads in the papers last week too.

It seems like they want us to remember the Sky One logo by ramming it up our faces.

The crisps advert made me slightly hungry, but in no way any more enthusiastic towards watching Sky One!

Yeah, people watch channels for the programmes, not the logo. And the old idents were better than the current ones, so it may have backfired on them.

Try telling that to the majority of peeps on here.

Although it's the programmes that add the fuel to the promotions/pres. Tit for tat.

True, but face it, pres geeks are a minority.

True, but each industry has their own set of geeks. Aviation, Cars, Coffee, the list goes on...
