Sky's Branding

I much prefer the branding that Italy’s Sky uno has, the music, bumpers and slates all reflect what the channel is, fun, vibrant and entertaining shows. Not too keen on the new rebranded identities...

I wonder when (if) sky news will follow suit

Looks like Sky Two got the same treatment that Sky3 had when it rebranded in 2011. Should only be a matter of time before it closes down for good.

Is this sky’s in house creative team that’s done this or the same company that did the sky sports rebranding job?
Something tells me this is in House as these new rebrands don’t seem to scream the same level of creativity as that of the sky sports rebranding.

I think these are more creative than sky sports so I'm gonna guess that the same people made the logo, but Sky Creative made the idents and stings.

Don’t get me wrong I like it, it’s clean and simple but I just wonder if it’s too simple. That being said there are worst rebrands out there... cough... itv 2006/07 cough cough

We're not got to peak time yet, we dont know if there are just boring daytime or if there are others out there waiting to be seen?

Don't forget oneness. I think its alright, interested to see how it will look on sky NEWS and sky CINEMA when it launches on them.

Agreed, sky news has always stuck out like a sore thumb throughout the sky channel branding, don’t get me wrong I do like sky news branding and have done over the years, but it always seems to have a continuity fail when put in line with the other channels, it would be nice to see it in line with its fellow siblings branding.

I just caught a Sky One ident with a continuity announcer warning viewers of flashing images. The ident used the 2016 Paint ident soundtrack and the logo was in 3D. Video coming
