Sky's Branding

No surprise, since their versions of Sky Sports haven't changed yet either. It'll be rolled out at a later date.


Sky Two just has a generic ident? Is it on the way out?

Whatever is going on with Sky Two, I'm just glad this rebranding is actually remembering that it exists and might be kind of important.

Until it gets an HD counterpart, I'll never believe Sky actually care about that channel.

I'm surprised to see all the ECPs across the channels are still using the old white background and are not channel specific. Will be interesting to see what the new Sky One menus will be like.

Honestly, I think the rebrand of Sky One should have maybe expanded on a bit more elements, like some music in the background. Not saying the presentation of the rebrand is bad, but there's a lot of empty gaps in it that need to be filled.

The idea around the Sky1 idents is definitely not bad, just it needed a better execution, that's all

I get the popcorn ident, not sure what the other one is about? Perhaps balloons bursting, a computer mouse clicking icons.

It's still a shame IMO that we can't anything majestic anymore.

Saw quite a few Sky One billboards around today - all just the logo (usually cropped and pushed beyond the edge of the frame) and very large text. Seems to match what's on screen.
