Sky's Branding

Anyone else thinking of this...?

There spending the money on this rebrand. Just seen a promo for the new branding on electronic bill broads in Edinburgh.

The Sky Q EPG is a mix of old and new logos at present. And the new Sky One logo doesn't look good in such small box format.

One thing that is standing out in this rebrand is the lack of variety. So far Sky One is airing two idents and four stings. Sky Living is using its crime scene ident, a generic ident and one sting, we do know there is at least one more ident to launch, thanks to Sky Creatives tweet. Sky Atlantic is back to two. Sky Two has one ident and one sting. Sky Arts retains it's existing three. I expect the Sky One branding to grow otherwise it will become stale very quickly.

Sky Atlantic seems to have withdrawn its new speedboat ident. So far it has been using updated versions of the New York Kids and Hong Kong Napkin. I assume Sky Atlantic VIP will receive a new logo during tonight's broadcast.

Logos have changed on NOW TV.

I still can't work out why Sky Living is still called Sky Living. If I'm not mistaken, there's absolutely nothing on the channel related to what Living used to air.

Though this is a subtle change, it has certainly made the Sky channels more noticeable in the EPG when using logos.

saw a promo on Sky News today, with a different endboard to what is normally used on Sky News but the logo is the same.

At least it has a nice soundtrack... Not sure what else I can say about it!

Sky Two: 2017 Idents & Presentation

Just seen a Sky1 promo on Sky News about crisps. A voiceover talking over a blue screen about crisps.
Sky1 seem to have got the worse end of this rebrand, looks cheap and uninspired.

Sky1 in Germany and Sky Uno in Italy as well Sky Atlantic in both territories have retained the old logos and presentation.

I've just seen two promos for Sky Atlantic, back to back and one had a lighter blue colour than the other?
