Looking through my Stargate Atlantis recording, the final Sky1 ident from the previous package was the Marble ident. No continuity announcer and the entire ident was played....

You mean having no announcement during the last ident?

Seeing the rebrands normally are at 6am, I'd be surprised about the opposite.. there aren't many watching TV at 5am..

It’s fairly normal for Sky channels to broadcast clean idents in the early hours of the morning; have seen this countless times across the likes of Sky One and Pick to suffice.

BBC Two kept the "2". What has replaced the "1" didn't impress me at 7am. It looked like a poor attempt at the Channel 4 "shuffling blocks".

Yeah, but first: the "2" is much more iconic, second, BBC has a longer tradition for the numerals "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR" etc.

So I'm not surprised Sky wants to be more "coherent"

Now, I can't wait to see the idents
