I'm sure once Mike is back with time to work on the website, he will be able to add the new look Sky Movies to the site. I am sure The Ident Gallery will have content up soon, and I am sure some good tv forumers will be able to post images and video also. When I can get some money, I may need to get a video input card. Having Freeview only, and no working aerial is quite tedious.

I'm sorry, but I too don't have access to satellite/cable channels and am limited to covering only Freeview at present. However, I do welcome contributions from people who can provide material for channels not in the gallery.
For movies, they've got old trails going out with old branding but they've put a new batch out today with new film trailers and the new Sky Movies logo at the bottom. Not enclosing the logo. And also, as far as I can tell, every channel's ident simply says Sky Movies now?
I take it Sky Sports will launch the new logo when Sky Sports Xtra changes to Sky Sports 4 on 6th Jan and Sky News will change theirs when they launch the HD channel at the end of spring early Summer?

I have seen some idents where the channel name animates on screen below the sky Movies logo
The break bumpers now only have the Sky Movies logo, not the channel name, but the idents themselves now have the full channel name, "Sky Movies Indie" etc as MDTA describes. Aside from that and the change of logo, everything else is as it was before.

New logo looks much better than the old one, imo.
It does seem to work better. I am wondering if the Stainless font will eventually be replaced by the new corporate one used in the channel names.
Sky Movies Premiere continuity, from today. The idents are still nice, they just have the wrong logo for them IMO.
It would have been a shame to have seen a well executed set of idents disappear after a relatively short period of time but I think it's pretty clear why 'Movies' spun away previously, there's too much clutter otherwise. It may have looked better had the logo been repositioned to the bottom centre of the screen.
I do think the new logo works very well, however, this will always be the ultimate ident for me (I wish they'd even bring it back)...

I am so surprised that they kept the idea of a shiney lady when the 2001/2 new look came in, all be it silver. But it is not a very adaptable brand, which is what is nice about the coloured spotlights. Now I saw The Clone Wars on Sky Movies Family, and that special ident has been updated with the new logo.
The adaptation of the spotlights ident with the new logo, is done better than the german one IMO.
