Looks like Sky's Spanish launch is getting underway:

https://twitter.com/SkyTVes

https://www.sky.com/es-spa/proximamente/

Some reports that the service will be priced at €10 a month - still no word on what content will be on offer though.

The branding seems to be very similar to that of Now TV, so if they are going to that route, does this mean Sky UK might get this look later on? I don't see why they've wasted money on these new Sky styles and then they use something else in another country, because it's weirdly strange for outsiders.

I doubt they will use the Now TV style of branding for main Sky, it suits Now TV well, but it would look very cheap and tacky for Sky TV. Does seem odd that they seem to be using it for Spanish Sky.

Reading between the lines, it looks like this is effectively going to be a Now TV style service but they're using the Sky brand as it'll be there main outlet there.

Sky have been able to time the launch with the end of La Vuelta where of course they are main sponsors of the winner's team. Sky as a brand has had exposure in Spain through cycling since 2009.

Revista De La Liga on Sky Sports this week came from the ground floor of Sky Central, there was a Sky Cinema display set up in the background.

Still looks quite red to me. Perhaps it's just the photo. Purple would be a good colour for movies, seeing as Sports and News already use red as their main colour. Helps create a different brand/theme instead of it all looking similar.
