Silver (0-3 years) – One Buy & Keep movie to download from Sky Store, and you'll get a DVD of it in the post (usually costs about £13).
Gold (3-8 years) – As well as the film, you'll get Sky Go Extra, where you can download Sky TV shows to watch on the go (if you already have it Sky will stop charging you). You'll also get a new Sky Atlantic VIP channel which allows you to watch some shows 24 hours before they're broadcast on the main channel.
Platinum (8-15 years) – On top of the rewards above you'll get free Sky Fibre broadband set-up (which can cost £60, but if you've already paid you won't get a refund) and from September you'll also get extra data allowance if you're a Sky Mobile customer (which can be worth up to £20/month).
Black (15+ years) – As above, plus Sky Q set-up if you don't already have it (which Sky says costs £115, though this can often be haggled down anyway) and a dedicated phone number to avoid queuing to speak to an adviser.
The Sky Store free movie thing isn't new, they did that last year with a mailshot and the SkyQ thing was inevitable as an incentive IMO to encourage take-up of it. I wonder how successful it has been considering Sky+HD is a) cheaper and b) has been around longer and c) the hardware is relatively stable. As to the dedicated phone number, excuse me while I laugh, dig out an 0800 number (not the 0345 number they promote) and you don't have to wait anyway, it's amazing how quickly companies will answer a phone and rectify or do things when they're paying for the call in the first place
None of this excites me to be honest, I don't use Sky Go as it is, the fibre and the mobile was more expensive than I already was paying and I have no interest in Sky Q. I'd much rather just have an extra x% off every month rather than faffing around with loyalty crap.

I'm not so sure - I imagine this is a direct response to the rising churn rate, which has been hitting Sky's share price for the last few years.
I don't think Sky VIP will last very long.

Free Sky Go Extra is nice to have, for downloading stuff to watch during a flight.
NW
Indeed that's what I'm currently awaiting approval for, it's handy for long journeys or times away from home.

Are they really going to not list what is showing on the channel on the guide?

I dare say it's quicker to load up the app than to keep pressing the right arrow key until you get to an actual programme.
