I don't know if this post should warrant a own thread but according to Digital Spy Forums, Sky Living's Facebook and Twitter pages have stopped updated and Sky Living promos on the other Sky channels have also stopped. The channel is heading the same path that killed the Trouble channel and almost Challenge.

Sky Living last posted on July 11th, a post about Chicago Fire on both Facebook and Twitter.
Looking down the tweet history, they quite often go for days between tweets, last long gaps were between June 14th and 23rd, before that between May 24th and June 7th. So the fact they haven't posted for 10 days isn't unusual for that account.

Anyway Digital Spy Forums isn't the most reliable source for, well anything really, so take it with a pinch of salt.

I find it hard to believe that Sky would close Living rather than try a re-launch. It was a very successful channel when they acquired it from VM.

Methinks they tinkered too much with the original core target demographic. Confused

What do you mean? They aren't closing Living.

I don't think it's completely doomed - I'll believe that's the case when they drop it down the EPG.

Clearly they don't have a problem running these channels on empty, as can clearly be seen with Sky 2 and Real Lives.

I didn't suggest they were, which was the point I was making. They have no reason to even consider the prospect. I think you misunderstood what was actually my defence of the channel.

You shouldn't cut & paste half a sentence, as it inferred something the opposite of what I was actually saying.

As other posters have mentioned it’s become standard for Sky Living to sporadically post on social media compared to the likes of Sky1 and Atlantic. However incidentally I’ve seen Sky Living promos yesterday on Pick (for Chicago Fire).

Should they close Sky Living? No. It would only serve to make their VMtv acquisition almost completely worthless; one of their main aims was to strengthen their entertainment lineup.

Should they restructure the channel to give it a clear identity? Yes. Set it apart from Sky1 and Atlantic, and offer more than just drama. Even if it means following the path that channels such as ITVBe, Really and Lifetime have taken.

Blimey, the last thing we need is another ITVBe, Really or Lifetime. Shocked

Sky Living tried to become too much of a mainstream channel in an overcrowded market. Maybe it should be going back to its roots and target women, but not at the tat end of the market.

I’d have precisely said the same.

A friend at Sky has hinted that the new look seen with the Sky Sports rebrand will be rolled out across other channels, starting with Sky Atlantic and Sky1, with the latter set to lose the ‘1’ (again!)..

Interesting seeing as the current Sky 1 branding (which uses the '1' numeral as a character) is only a year old at this point. Though if this were the 90s it wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

What will happen of the physical '1' in Sky's offices? Someone salvage it before it gets thrown out.

The interview given out by Nomad (who worked on the Sky Sports rebrand), noted about the knock on effect that it would have on other channels, given that it is styled differently.

Does this mean that Sky1 is switching back to the Sky One motif it had until 2008? It’d be shame to see the current branding go, if true; the 2016 refresh brought back some level of personality back into the brand.

If there's a channel branding switch up when FOX takes over (I know that's unlikely) then this will definitely will be a 90s throwback.. Shocked
