You didn't need to quote that four times, JetixFann! Shocked

I apologise, it's fixed now.
But if this was a test for Sky's teenager demographic, could this mean this will be an actual channel and not just a pop-up channel?

If I'm completely wrong, the only Sky TV advert to have the old 2D glass logo is the Sky Kids ad. Only a matter of time before that gets updated with the new logo

Yeah, I've just noticed that after my power came back. Personally, I love the 2d logo as there is a slight more Glass Effect to it.

Also, the Sky sign in site still adapts the 2d logo

No, the old logo was 3D, not 2D. The logo was probably introduced in 2013, not really official, but I think thats when it was used, alongside the glass logo of the 2009 logo which was used until just now, but the Sky vans still use that glass logo. I have a feeling they will change it in a few months.

Sky used the 3D look to their logo from 2004 to 2016. Don't believe me that it came out in 2004? Well then, look at the Sky logo after the end of the first promo.

If anything, using a 2D image shows that Sky is a really friendly company, which I can understand why they changed the softer image logo from 2009 as the company just started to use a more, glass-y logo which lasted from 2008-2009.

The music at the start might sound familiar (see 1:49):

The old logo's 3D design could actually be a case of Sky making their logo and adding a glass effect to make it look 3d. I've seen a tutorial on a site where someone creates a Sky 2d glass logo and it looks like the real thing. It's the same story with Sky's new logo introduced in 2009. Believe what you like but I think the old logo was just 2d with added glass effects to make it look 3d

Nat Geo gets a global rebrand and drops the "Channel" part

I'm not from the UK so I can't check, but I think the new branding in UK went live on yesterday night before Mars, as it's happening in the world in general (in Italy tomorrow at 9pm), mimicking the Fox one from 2 or 3 years ago

Here's a video from the Czech version

I have just checked and the UK/Irish feed is indeed using the new branding.

Sky are now being selective about what sports rights it obtains. Possibly linked with the large amount of money being paid for Premier League rights.

Darroch - The most important rights will be focused on, mainly football.

Well, that should make BT Sport sit up and notice.

Pretty much read that as "forget Sky UK trying to get back the Champions/Europa league rights this time around". Over at Here East, they should be some broad smiles across faces. Add around 5% on what they pay now, and sit back and wait for the confirmation of renewal of rights to ping through via e-mail from Switzerland.

Wonder if they'll give up some domestic country cricket, in order to keep the England home test series exclusively live as well?

Hmm, that's interesting. Could that be a sign that the Premier League bubble is at breaking point and that next time Sky won't be paying anywhere near that much?

I get the impression Sky overstretched themselves last time and they certainly won't want to repeat that. One or more of the Premier League packages may come BT's way but Sky probably won't drop them altogether.

It was perhaps inevitable that Sky couldn't depend on Sky Sports for long term growth, that ship's sailed so they'll have to make growth up elsewhere.
