The 1 has been shortened to fit in with the style of the new Sky Europe logos. Note a faint gradient is visible which is the same as the Sky Europe look.
This is the one used on Adverts and youtube trailers.
Rejigged Sky Atlantic logo in use on the trailer for The Last Panthers - hopefully they will start using it across the board from November rather than the messy introduction they seem to be doing for Sky 1/Sky Movies.
The new Sky Atlantic logo placed next to the Sky News logo looks odd, with the glossiness looking so out of place and to be picky, hardly look the same brand wise.
It's Sky News's logo that looks out of place there because the Sky logo is black and not the same colour as the other half of the logo (in this case, red). But there's nothing wrong with that. Sky Sports with it's blue and red halves also doesn't match, and neither does Sky Movies which doesn't split the box in two at all. Basically they're using four similar styles - one for news, one for Sports, one for Movies, and another for everything else.
The logos aren't aligned with each other either, the line separating the Sky with the channel name are not in the same position for each logo. The size of the letters for NEWS are larger than for ATLANTIC.
I'm not sure what they were going for with the updated Sky1 logo.
I guess it's what happens when your design philosophy is "more gloss" - eventually you hit a ceiling and it no longer bears that glassy, premium sheen; more like tacky, cheap plastic.
