They are probably trying to make the rebrand come as slow as possible, which makes sense because rebranding the channel now would mean more time to make the Sky channels also follow the Arts/Sports/News logo.

The new logo has not been fully launched yet all idents on Sky Sports and the intro to Sky Sports News HQ are using the original logo with the gradient at the top of the logo. The new logos are just being used on the sidebar and on the channel DOG.
Sky Arts has launched in Germany as an On Demand service with the linear channel to launch in Q1 2016.

Cropped screenshot of the new Sky Movies logo. Seems strange the logo wasn't designed to the new Sky Europe design. Still an improvement over the original flat logo.

The new logo looks so terrible. They could just use the new gradient, but now its in 3D...
Anyway, it seems that they are using the new Sky Sports logo on some shows.

I agree. Seems like a new look for the sake of it, rather than adding anything to it. I also still don't like the shape of the M and wish they hadn't edited it.
Also, are they just adding a shaped overlay on the logo to give the impression of a reflection of light and that's a "new look" over the old style, a shaped overlay on the logo to give the impression of a reflection of light?

Well, they do. But aside from that it's not exactly the most comprehensive rebrand in history, is it?

Good to see they have actually fixed the 5 in this logo. It is now wide to match the other letters and numbers.

Yes that's because it's using clips from the Sky Arts UK idents.
Has anyone else noticed that in that Sky Arts Germany ident, the old slanty-A ARTS logo is used for the arty-style elements inbetween the opening paint-swirly bit and the endcap?
