I prefer the one from 07, with a font tweak it would look good.

On page 7 of Sky's results release it says they will develop a common 'look and feel' for all Sky's channels across Europe by next summer.

Aren't they already doing that by rolling out the UK branding elsewhere?

The new unified look is currently launched in the UK on Sky Arts and on the Sky Sport channels in Italy. Sky Sports UK will probably be next to use the branding, its new logo has appeared in a Premier League advert and on the Sky homepage so far.

The 'new' Sky Sports logo is now being used on SSN and was used on tonight's Football League coverage.

The football had the same graphics as last season but they are now in the Sky font and no longer all upper case.

It isn't like they're significantly different as it is.

One thing I HAVE noticed, if this makes any sense, is that on Sky Sports HD, the motion and the image on screen seems a lot more....fluid? Adverts, live action, graphics, promos, studio shots... I noticed it on two separate screens this weekend on two separate channels (SS1 HD and SS3 HD) - one screen a Samsung 60" and another an LG 28".

Probably just my imagination.

All they've done is change the font to the sky font and that's it everything still the same.

Not everything is the same. The lower thirds have been slightly reworked, more glass effect. The team lineup graphics have changed as well.

The new glossier Sky Sports logo has began to be used now, spotted now on SSNHQ.

The difference is so minor as to be unnoticeable to anyone but us 'anoraks'. Shocked

Are there any pics for comparison?
