Sky's Branding

Just a heads up, is anyone going to record the launch of Sky Arts and the death of Sky Arts 2? And also the Sky Real Lives launch?

Most people will have difficulty recording all 3, as they're likely to all take place at the same time (6am).

There's also the closure of Sky 3D at 1am.

Anyway, Sky have added a Kids section to their EPG. And get this, Sky says the following on their page:
"Kids movies are available with Sky Movies 1&2 ."
Does this mean that Sky Movies channels will be numbers again? Crap.

I think that might be a reference to the 2 Sky Movies packages that used to be available separately. Even though they're no longer available separately, the channels/content is probably still split by Sky Movies 1/Sky Movies 2/both/either for the benefit of customers on a legacy package.

Anyone who has access to the Sky+ mobile app, have a look at the Sky LivingIt schedule from tomorrow onwards if you want to see the new Real Lives logo, it's different than the last Sky Real Lives logo, and there's no Sky branding in sight.

The Sky 3D channel page has now been taken off-line. Links to the page are still displaying on sister channel pages.
Perhaps we could see new idents on Sky Living and Sky1 with the start of original shows moving off Sky Living and the begging an increase in budget for Sky1 which was to begin in June. I'm outside of the Sky Go broadcast area at the moment and would appreciate if someone could report tomorrow if these channels see any changes in their branding.

The change from Sky Living It to Real Lives has happened. Exactly the same idents as previous, except for the Real Lives logo replacing the Sky Living It one.

Exactly the same with Sky Arts. They're still using the same idents, with the new logo.


The closure of Sky Arts 2 was also pretty unremarkable, where a trailer got cut off part way through.

Should be noted that it's definitely 'Real Lives', not 'Sky Real Lives'.

Didn't the old Sky Arts idents have a slanted A as opposed to the new logo with a standard A. Very poor effort from Sky if the logos don't match.
