The idents haven't appeared on TV yet as far as I am aware. I just noticed them on uploaded to Vimeo by the creator.

Is Sky News moving into that new building at some point?

Afaik, it's moving in to a new building at some point down the line - don't think it's any of those which are there or being built at present though.

I thought Sky News had only been in their current studios a few years.

It'll be ten years next year since they moved into the 'Sky News Centre', won't it? So not very long at all.

I think I recall reading that the current Sky News Centre will be demolished under the Sky Campus masterplan.

Here's the planning report. Point 4.3 on page 7 details the demolition of existing buildings, one of which I believe to be the Sky News Centre.

If you look at the maps below, the Sky News Centre is in the area where the new Sky campus will be formed (you can use the Tesco at the bottom of the map to orientate yourself)




Of course, I might be completely wrong! I'm sure somebody at Sky may be able to shed more light.

Sky appear to have started running their Christmas presentation this morning, there's no changes to the idents (well on Sky Atlantic) but they're running the festive bumpers and promos asking Sky personalities what their best xmas memories are.

The special Christmas bumpers, ECP, trailer endboards etc. have been running since Monday 1st December.

Shows how much I've watched Sky this week, it's a nice touch on the presentation.
