A shame that Sky News SD isn't launching on the Freesat EPG too, but I can understand why that may not be the commercial thing to do, otherwise a great decision.

Sky News is launching on Channel 336.

Tonight on Got To Dance, the Sky1 HD DOG is being shown constantly. Is it not usually on for around 30 seconds until it fades away?

I think it's on purpose, seeing as it has a Sky Sports-esque 'L I V E' tag underneath. It is more transparent than the brief one they use that you mentioned though.

Sky and Disney to launch 'Sky Movies Disney' on March 28th - will premiere Disney movies 'around 6 months' after their cinematic releases. Logo can be seen in this DS article,

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/media/news/a460400/sky-movies-disney-channel-to-launch-on-sky-in-march.html

Interesting that Disney movies will premiere on this channel, which will only be available on the Sky platform, rather than Sky Movies Premiere. A new Sky tactic perhaps?

It's not a new channel per se, it's a new deal between Disney and Sky and its replacing the Disney Cinemagic channel, which is also available on Virgin, this channel is a premium service or free if you take the Sky Movies package. It's worth noting that Disney's movies don't premiere on Sky Movies anyway, but I would take a guess that Buena Vista and Miramax movies do go on Sky.

So BSkyB are now in cahoots with HBO (Atlantic), DisneyABC (Sky Movies Disney), ParamountViacom (Comedy Central), A+E Networks, as well as in the past providing content for ESPN UK and also taking content from ESPN USA.

All seems very cosy.
