maybe mdta changed it (as he prepares his versions of the 'new logo' for upload).

It's almost like someone is reading this thread and agreeing with what mdta wrote.

Seeing as you seemingly uploaded the 'new' logos then re-uploaded the old ones, why don't you just post the new ones here for all to see.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but it looks as though Sky is making a slight change to the logos on their sports channels to adopt the corporate lower case lettering.
This is according to their Programme Information site which advised about Sky Sports Xtra changing to Sky Sports 4 from 6 January 2010.

I dislike how no effort has been made to align the logo with the text. Screams of 'plonk the new logo in, job done'.
Given Sky Sports' good track record, I struggle to believe that that is the finished product. It could have just been hastily knocked up for that article as the real updated logo isn't ready yet.
I hope...

I thought the same, especially when we've seen the nice idents/logos for Sky Sports Deutschland.
Perhaps that is just an initial logo to advertise the change (while not disrupting the soft roll-out of the modified corporate logo), or that is the finished version and they are hoping that they won't have to change all those signs outside pubs/clubs across the UK which display the logo, as it's not that different from a distance.
However, I don't know whether the pubs/clubs pay for their own promotional material or whether Sky provides them. Perhaps someone on here does know.

That looks like a proper new logo. The "Sports" lettering is in a slightly different font, and the logo now has round edges.
Its good to see that a proper Sky logo will be used throughout their channels now. I think it looks alright.
