Looks like they have done a bit of tweaking to the original NOW TV logo.

The updated version is certainly neater, still not sure it's a particularly strong brand - will be interesting to see what the marketing campaign looks like.

Oh god, the Starlings ident has to be the worst Sky1 ident yet. It's probably been around for a while (oh yeah, it's on the last page!) but I've only just seen it. They're all just sat there around a campfire for about 30 seconds. It looks so awkward, why on earth haven't they changed this awful set of idents yet?

Nice ident, and it's about time they started improving them. They have been rather lacklustre of late, and in recent weeks they haven't even been using specific idents for the HD channel: we've just had the same logo appearing as on the SD channel.

To be honest, I would have thought that they would want the SD channel to have the HD tag to show the SD viewers what they're missing, in the same way BBC idents of the 70s had the 'Colour' tag on them to show black and white viewers that they were missing out on colour programming.

I must say though the normal Sky1 logo does look better than the Sky1 HD logo.

The problem is, to the untrained eye and ignorant mind, it's highly possible people watching SD will just think they've suddenly got HD. I know it's against all logic, but I wouldn't be surprised.

This week Sky1 has begun airing special idents promoting the ways you can view Sky1 on the go.
Two idents have been updated featuring Ipads, Iphones and a HD TV.
Here are two videos Video 1 Video 2 I recorded earlier which are available to view at Sky Idents.

Earlier this week Sky Atlantic refreshed its presentation. A new 3D version of the Sky Atlantic logo has been introduced similar to Sky Arts and Sky 3D. Each ident has received its own unique soundtrack. The logo formation has also been updated appearing from behind objects in the idents themselves. Overall the package seems much fresher, an improvement in my opinion.

So, like how ITV1's are done. How unoriginal.

Err, it's a very commonly employed effect, hardly ITV's invention.

The same idea can be seen in some of the logo reveals of the original BBC One Circles... which appeared a full one month before ITV1's yellow zaniness. How unoriginal.

I'm probably missing something, but they don't look any different to me.

The logo used to fade up towards the end, it now appears from behind an element. 2011 vs 2012.

It's also slightly more metallic looking compared to its former form. Slightly.
