I am surprised how low Sky's Branding has become. Presentation from Sky1 is at an all time low and now Sky Sports have joined them Sad

Sky Sports always used to have superb idents, it's a shame if these are the latest regular ones.

Sky1 now have dismal branding, on a par with the awful ones used from 1998-2001:

Sky Living is being renamed to Sky Loving this weekend promoting the new 'Love machine' show. It should be interesting pres wise.

Considering every package from the "Sky|One" era onwards has ranged from decent to excellent, they were bound to produce another rotten set eventually.

Hopefully its replacement is being worked on.

I think some of us are overreacting when they say 'Sky's presentation is at an all-time low', because it isn't.

Some are, understandably, disappointed at the current idents, but overall, the presentation is fine, and not the horror it is being made out to be.

And, whilst you're all complaining about Sky1, Sky Arts is getting lovely new idents, whilst Sky Atlantic, etc, retain theirs.

Let's not blow this out of proportion.

Sky's presentation is far from fine,
- Sky1 has went from second best only to Channel 4, to nothing.
- Sky3 particle theme was excellent, now as Pick TV it only has one ident using the twister music which doesn't suit the ident at all.
- Sky2 only has two idents now, but at least the idents have some kind of theme.
- Sky Sports excellent 'Glass shatter hero' idents have now been replaced by cheap power-point like presentations.
- Sky Livingit, just has two bad idents.
and Sky Sports and Challenge were the only channels to have Christmas idents this year.

I agree Critique that Sky Arts, Sky Living and Sky Atlantic have great presentation at the moment, but that doesn't make up for the other channels.

I don't think Sky really care about Livingit or Pick TV, that's why they have had little, if any, effort made on their presentation.

Yes I agree that they don't care about them, but at the same time they do represent 'sky' Surley the people in Sky Creative could come up with a decent package for the channels. Look at Challenge it has more than 10 good idents and Christmas branding.

Its interesting to note that Sky Livingit and +1 have a combined 3% share the same as Sky Atlantic.

I wonder might Sky Sports have been waiting until the F1 channel's launch this evening to debut new pre-programme 'Live' titles? The 'home of sport' titles are awful compared to the previous set so they surely must have something else planned.

But surely Atlantic makes more money in advertising revenue because of its high rating with a specific audience? I remember figures being quoted in this thread in the past showing that it's quite a lucrative market and audience that Atlantic has been attracting. I doubt Livingit achieves as lucrative an audience as Atlantic does.

That's quite a nice ident/trailer and it does follow the format of mid-programme listings during breaks on other Sky channels now, by using the coloured glass effect logo.

I apologise for not giving examples, but my TV capture facility won't work with my trial version of Windows 8 Crying or Very sad

(PS: I thought I'd put Win8 as a dual-boot, but hey-ho!)
