Sky1 Stella Technical Problems

Major technical difficultys on Sky1 at the moment, Stella started with no sound, it continued for about 3 minutes without sound until a slide with music appeared for about a minute. The programe has now returned with a caption saying 'We apologies for this temporary fault' - Sky1 HD unaffected. At the first ad break the sound returned for the adds, but the sound goes again when Stella begins its second part.

The 'temporary fault' caption has now been removed from Sky1 - Still no sound though.

Sky1 has ditched Stella infavour of the Simpsons. Even Sky1 HD has switched to even though it had sound! #stella is going mad on twitter

Apparently they will restart Stella at 10pm - according to the Sky 1 controller on Twitter.

EDIT: Nope, they said they will repeat it on Sky 2 on Sunday at 9pm.

EDIT 2: @stuartmurphy100: #stella the technical problem isn't fixed everyone so as you have just heard, we are bumping tomorrows movie and running Stella at 9 instead.

Obviously I no nothing about playout but is that not a bit worrying? Surely a slide could have been put up, even if there wasn't a live announcer handy?

If there's one man who'd know about adding graphics over content...

Guess they cant split SD & HD feeds then?

I missed the bit where they switched to the Simpsons, did they announce it or just cut to it after the break?

It happened mid scene, the screen went black for about 10 seconds before The Simpsons titles rolled.

It still surprises me how long they've been using that music for. I remember it from the early Sky Digital days.
