Would it? Why? Maybe some Sky channels would suffer (News and Sport probably) and maybe EPG updates wouldn't happen but I can't think of a reason for the 'full SkyDigital network' to suffer.

It's a shame that all UK broadcasters aren't compelled to do so. That might have helped slow down the pillage of ITV for one thing.
