Virgin are now giving out their V HD box (sans record) as their default install. Might be a reply to this.
Virgin have been doing that for a year, they just kept it quiet initially.

Well at least they don't charge extra each month for said HD channels.
Although they now want you to pay a nonsense charge of £49.95 for 'activation' of HD channels.
