Hm, is it just me, or does that need a massive pot of of anti-aliasing pouring over the translucent 'sky' logo? It looks horridly sharp edged!

I know, I noticed it on all of sky's branding including their adverts. Surprised

A similar cha ge has been made to the Sky One break-bumpers, so expect the same on Sky Three in a few minutes!

It is confusing having the channel & corporate logos on together Confused

EDIT: Well at least now we know the colours for each channel (having just seen a break-bumper on Sky Three) it's blue for One, yellow for Two and Pink Confused for Three. They actually look quite nice. It's growing on me!

Are you really confused, Is anyone really confused. Same with ITV's vertical and Horizontal Logos?

I think sometimes we can underestimate the audience.

Well Sky three is about to launch, so lets see how it goes hmm

No, not really but they have never used the corporate "sky" on channels before.

Ooops, slip up there, Sky News stayed in 4:3 for a while! And there's no DOG !!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

Sky travel used to use the service logo rather than the network logo, but that was before they seperated the two parts of the business.

Sky Sports have had the corporate logo on for some time now.

No sign of Sky Three on Telewest or a Sky Two or Three site for that matter. Any news on that?

Also, the logo on Sky One has moved over to the left a bit.

Ah, I don't have Sky Sports channels, do they just use it for break-bumpers? If so, I guess this is the new policy and a way of giving the "glassy" corporate logo more prominence. Perhaps will will be an integral part of the next major revamp of channel idents/logos.

If it is a new policy, they forgot to tell Sky News last Monday. Wink

Fair point, but I don't actually recall seeing a break-bumper on Sky News....I must pay more attention. AFAIK they just cut in and out of adverts almost without warning. Sky Movies also just currently use a cut down version of channel ident.............but who actually watches the adverts on Sky Movies anyway - I just fast-forward through them - lol Very Happy Very Happy

There is a flash of the sky corporate logo at the beginning of the TOTH sequence on Sky Sports News. Personally it looks in your face - as if it's trying to tell viewers on SSN and Sky Three "Get Sky Now. Get Sky Now. Buy Sky. Now. Buy Sky"
