The lack of responses to this thread over the last few weeks seems to indicate a lack of appetite for this channel.
Anyway, at what time will Sky Three branding be seen for the first time tomorrow ? 5pm is it ? Great start to the new channel, a simulcast of Live at Five. Of course you could just flick over to Sky News for that. They also seem to have 'Live at 5 with Jeremy Thompson' scheduled over the weekend which seems unlikely.
Daytime seems to be mainly former Sky Travel output complete with 2.5 hours of Sky Travel Shop.
Alas, no sign of World Live in the schedule, the best thing about Sky Travel IMHO. So Freeviewers will probably miss out on that.

It's the chance for Sky to put some of their premium programmes on FREEVIEW (ok, after 18 months on SKY ONE), but none the less it is a taster for people who will wonder what is on SKY ONE/TWO/MOVIES/SPORT.
It is in essence a "loss leader" for SKY, the same as SKY NEWS. It gives them a presence and a profile on DTT and they will promote their pay-tv channels as much as possible.

Sky Travel (which is an excellent and far under-rated channel) continues on Sky (139) and ntl (931) tomorrow - so don't worry
I'd get Sky if I were you, it's better than DCab or DTT.
(<-----------takes back-hander from James Murdoch - if offered - for unsolicited promotion of your channel strategy)

At the end of "Hotel" on Sky Travel / Freeview this morning the continuity announcer told us about next week's programme. So does this mean Sky Travel continues on Sky and is just coming off Freeview? "Hotel" is not in the schedule for Sky Three. I'm confused!

There was a trailer for some food programme on Sky Three shown during Sky News Sunrise this morning.
The trailer endboard was exactly the same as those for Sky One, just with pink lettering and the Sky Three logo (which animates in the same way the Sky One's). Bit disappointing, but as we were expecting really.
It seems Sky Travel is going to continue for most of the day, as it's still broadcasting on Freeview.

Sky Three will begin at 5pm, according to the looped promo running off the EPG on Sky Digital... and Sky Two (or Sky Tuo) has been renamed as well...
(10am edit: Sky viewers will now find Sky Three has been added to the EPG on channel 108)

I think the simulcast of Sky News on Three is indicative of how Sky view the channel. It's just a taster service for Sky Digital.
It's a bit like chopping a sweet in half, giving it to a child, and saying ''if you like it, give me some money and you can have the rest of it''. They're just trying to attract the audience across to existing Sky channels on Freeview (Sky News mostly) and over to Sky One. I'd bet that around 60% of the promos on the channel will be for stuff on Sky One.
