Oh the fun of it! Using [En-British] it's on [ALT-Gr]+[4], but using [Gr-Greek] it's on [ALT-Gr]+[E]

Greece - where the 'euro cent' will be called the 'lepta' (and I bet you really didn't want to know that!

I just got a big blank box.

I'm impressed, by the way, that a topic with such an unpromising premise has now achieved the status of hot. Well done, boys and girls.

Would make sense. There are currently 100 leptas (leptai?) to the Drachma - it's basically just the Greek word for cent. Of course, the Drachma itself is currenly not worth enough to bother dividing it - but it has existed in the past

The character is usually pronounced 'hash' outside the US

This is what happens when I try to press @ on an English keyboard set to a American one on the computer        '

And if I want to press ' it's    @

If I want to press the pound sign I get    #

And If I want to press # I get

NO POUND SIGN

You need to adjust that through the Keyboard Properties in Windows.

On our tills at work, some of the tills print # instead of a £ on a reciept, whereas others print £. Strange!
