"This is Sky One. A part of the British Comcast Broadcasting network."

Old Murky Murdoch always wanted to own ITV - he's got the money for it now Wink Very Happy

And the competition regulators would no longer block it.

I think they probably would, on the basis that "New" News Corp still owns all the same publishing interests in the UK.

Though 21CF now owns significantly less over here and is a completely different entity, legally, to News 2.0 - even if their major shareholders are one and the same.

21CF is still aiming to be sold to Disney. The only vehicle Murdoch would have to enable a purchase of ITV plc is NewsCorp 2.0, unless he created a whole new company out of the revenue from 21CF & Sky.

NewsCorp buying ITV plc would still be a conflict of interest that the competition authority would be sniffing at.

Sorry, I meant the remnants of 21CF not being sold on to Disney, namely the Fox Network, Fox Sports, and Fox News.

He's doing just that. Where do you think those remnants lhx just mentioned are going?

Have there been any board changes yet? I'd have thought that now that Comcast were in charge they'd have made their mark. The most obvious change being the chairman, currently James Murdoch

Incidently I notice on Reuters' list of their directors https://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/company-officers/SKYB.L
it includes someone called Grant Way... which is of course the name of the road the company is based in

The offer period hasn't expired yet. Business as usual until that arrives.

I'm not sure it's entirely correct to say 'he'. It's not just one person who owns stakes in these businesses, its a family concern. Rupert is still involved but his sons have largely taken over
