Ok. The glass backed effect has gone, and the corners are slightly more squared off, but there is still the half height dropped shading still visible.
Looks like we are getting only a part on air look rebrand.

Still dread to think how ugly the DOGs will look with all these extra words in the channel names.

With a bit of luck they'll just opt for a standard Sky Sports dog like they used to do with Sky Movies during original programming.

I certainly hope that when they've done this with The Open, Ryder Cup and The Ashes recently that this is a trick they'll not carry on with. Possibly only a Sky Sports live, or maybe hark back to the 1990's...?

But then how will we know what channel we're watching? That will cause chaos! Rolling Eyes

And cause chaos to Tumbly's channel naming convention.

Probably by the sport they're showing Wink

How long do we give it then until a channel shows a sport they theoretically shouldn't be. I guess they could get away with AFL and Gaelic Football on Sky Sports Football. Quite surprised there isn't a rugby channel though and you wonder if that could hurt them moving forward in rights battles - might make it look like it's not a priority.

No rebranding of At the Races mentioned then as part of the overhaul?

The separate subscriptions will be the killer when it comes to that. If you are paying for Sky Sports Golf, you will feel entitled to all the golf Sky have the rights to. So if they show golf on Sky Sports Football, the subscribers to Sky Sports Golf will feel done out of.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that these new logos contain the inscriptions in lowercase and not in uppercase, unlike what happens with the remaining Sky logos.. are they going to change all Sky fonts, again?

I'm taking these "new logos" with a pinch of salt

And there's surely going to have to be massive overspill onto the sport specific channels. 'Arena' alone surely won't cope with covering tennis, darts, boxing, WWE, NFL, basketball, netball, darts, snooker (do they have any of that any more), greyhounds and other minority sports. Unless there is about to be a cull of lower priority & US sports rights ?
