I was going to write here there appears to be legacy Sky Sports logos floating around on a Game Changers episode I spotted on Sky Sports Mix but having googled the news results "from last weekend" it appears to be a repeat of an episode that dates from October 2016 which predates the rebrand so there's nothing to see here presentation-wise.
Surprised actually those repeats go out in their original form, thought they'd have been repackaged. The latest episode (with correct logo) does appear to be pushed out to Mix at the weekend, though it (Game Changers) only seems to feature otherwise (apart from Mix) on demand and on Arena of all places.
Says a lot about how confusing Sky Sports structure is (specially when it comes to Mix) if they are having to put out tweets like this:
To keep watching us on Sky Sports Arena you'll need to hit the red button 🔴 Alternatively we're on Sky Sports Mix- channel 121- which is available to all Sky customers & is on Now TV if you're watching on a Sport Pass 👍 #ATPFinals
We're aware that some viewers are having a problem seeing us on the red button. While we work to fix it, all Sky customers can watch on Sky Sports Mix- channel 121- or in the Entertainment section if you're on Sky Go.
Watching the Darts Final on Main Event and I think some Christmas presentation was shown by accident for Sky Sports Football. Basically it was a promo for some EFL fixtures in the next week with frost on the red background and Christmas music throughout. Either that or starting very early.
Sky's new channel structure has been under a bit of pressure this week with two events running across the week on the non-specific channels - think Main Event and Mix have had to be used exclusively a couple of times to accomodate them. Meanwhile most of the week the Premier League and cricket channels have been dormant.
It’s meant NFL RedZone has been running on red button only tonight for the first time this season, with its usual homes of Mix and Arena showing (late running) tennis and darts respectively.
I wonder if there is a more dynamic solution they could use, whereby they have a number of overspill channels which become visible depending on your subscription and what is showing at the time? So say there were 2 cricket matches at the same time, one would play on the cricket channel and the second on an overspill channel that was visible to those with a cricket subscription.
We have been here before in this very thread. It's only Sky Q customers without Box Sets that have this issue with the red button. It works fine on Sky+HD whether you have Box Sets or not.
