Sky Sports Revamp

When BBC4 began in 2002, the Radio Times did a huge feature about it, spanning several pages and promoting numerous programmes on it. Then on the actual listings pages they'd forgotten to change the heading and it was still called BBC Knowledge. You'd be amazed how easy it is to forget this stuff...

Do they list all the channels?

Yes, although Mix and F1 (from memory) only list live programme highlights.

After looking at the Virgin EPG it looks as though:

Sky Sports 1 is showing the listings for Sky Sports Main Event
Sky Sports 2 " Sky Sports Cricket
Sky Sports 3 " Sky Sports Action/Arena
Sky Sports 4 " Sky Sports Golf
Sky Sports 5 " Sky Sports Action/Arena

which suggests that the "new channels" will be PL and Football.

If you look at 6am Thursday, you can see what's what:

I wonder if 'This is...' is going to be a barker that's on quite often, or just a 1-hour one-off filler to give them a bit of breathing space to reconfigure all the tx chains.

I can only see it at this time so assume it's a one-off. There wasn't one for Golf showing yesterday, not sure why it's showing no listings at all there now.

Has anything been confirmed about what programmes like Soccer AM will be on. Sky Sports Football/Premier League or both?

At least one advert per hour on my local radio station this morning. Few sound bites and usual announcer for Sky Sports promos.

Three adverts in one break on Radio X this morning.

When Sky Sports change the name of their channels it's been 6am in the past. Also notice Good Morning Sports Fans is simulcast across all channels (bar SS The Open)at 7am.

Guess that'll be low on actual sports news and high on promoting 'the new way to watch sports'.
