They are not very good logos from Sky Sports by a long mile.
The designs for me are very uninspiring as the previous set of logos had a much better onscreen look.
What is the typeface used for these new logos?
If Sky have these new logos displayed as DOGs; how will they display them on screen?

They look cheap, like something made by a sixth form student.

I don't think this new Sky Sports logo is going to fit with me any time soon. It's too plain and probably not going to look good on screen.

The 'revamp' of the channels appears to suit fans of football, golf, F1 and cricket over other sports. The football channel pricing is an improvement of sorts which ensures that you don't have to spend more than is needed.
As for the logos, it's more evolution, than revolution. Sports fans will want clear brand recognition which the rebrand gives on the whole.

Sky Sports Main Event - The destination for the biggest live events
Live Premier League football plus international qualifiers and the biggest games from EFL and La Liga, F1®, Ryder Cup and Major golf, England Test cricket, international Rugby Union, World Darts Championship and more
In effect, it is simulcasting the best of Sky Sports into one bonus channel. Considering how BT only has Sky Sports 1 and 2 - and to account for having all major sports to be shown on the major pay TV platforms; I’m speculating that it could be part of the reason for the existence of Main Event.
As for Virgin Media’s plans for the changes:

I'm not sure I get it. Does 'Main Event' have any of it's own content or is it all simulcasts from the rest of the channels ?
Surely 'Premier League' will be used to show other types of football as well as there must be occasions where football matches run simultaneously across the various leagues or competitions that Sky broadcast.

So it looks like that BT Vision customers wanting EFL will have to see if their matches will be on Main Event, while they'll still have full PL action.

It’s a full rebrand - thereby putting Sky Sports News in the frame as well. It looks as if they are finally pulling off the HQ tag from the name.
It will no doubt please a lot of people here. The HQ tag never felt right and looked tacky in practice, personally.
Is the SSNHQ getting a graphics revamp as well?

I doubt they'll be many physical changes to the set, although I noticed they now have a podium for Good Morning Sports Fans.

I don't think it was ever explained what the HQ actually meant. I liked the theory someone on here had, which was they initially wanted to rebrand it Sky Sports HQ and put it at the top of the EPG (which they actually did), possibly expanding it into a mixture of sports news and what the upcoming Main Event channel is going to be. But at some point the plans changed or they had to compromise which is why we got the pointless name Sky Sports News HQ and the channel moved to the top of the EPG for seemingly no reason. (This is just a theory by the way, not rumoured or confirmed by anyone, just a fun theory I like to believe has some truth in it)

Those apparently channel-specific typefaces and colours:

There's a number of promos on the Sky Sports Twitter feed which, while they don't give much away, it seems there'll be theme colours for each channel, a new font (with an italic version being used for Sky Sports F1) and the same "blinds" effect that Sky One uses.
