I think they missed a trick by not having a Bruce Hammal voiceover.
"Live, from the Sky Sports News headquarters in Sky Studios in West London, this is Sky Sports News HQ HD, with Mike Wedderburn and Alex Hammond"
It'd shave a good minute off each hour that they need to fill (though at that length it might need to be Peter Simon).

A far more traditional Sky Sports News TOTH at 11pm for Through the Night.
In fact, watching the 11:00pm hour, it's being presented just like Sky Sports News always has been, double headed at the desk, with none of the walking about, social media desk, investigations etc that we've seen today.

The F1 channel is only using 1 ident and it appeared on Sky Sports News HQ last night too. So basically all idents will air on News HQ with each channel having its own idents.
Just watching Sky Sports F1, I think we can safely assume that F1 has its own separate set of idents, whilst 1-5 and News share their own set of more generic idents. I think News has some specific idents too, as I saw an ident that featured some of the News presenters in the new studio.

You say that like it's an oversight, it's surely meant to signify that Sky Sports takes you inside the action, it's be design. It's not like anyone is not going to know what it's say so that's not a major concern.
Hm, only the second one actually works, the others just seem covered up too much.
