Sky Sports Graphics

It's won't be halfway through the season if they don't launch today. Probably early in September.

Premiership Plus has kept the same graphics as last year, but they do look superb and really classy. Captures coming soon for those who haven't seen them.

Yes I remember Sky Sports usually change their graphics around September. I remember the DOG changed completley half way through the Ryder Cup once.

Perhaps we will get a new look on every Sky channel, it's been done before with the advent of the 'egg'. If this happens then September is a good bet.

Some good stuff on the frequency I mentioned above this afternoon. We had a clean feed of this afternoons football and various camera feeds from around Anfield including the interviews. Also Richard Keys talking during the break and Claire Tomlinson recording the voiceovers for Ford Football Special tonight.

that feed you saw, did it have an orangish scorebox and graphics set?

If so that's this year's version of the TWI international feed which us Aussies have to put up with. We used to be able to watch the Sky Sports feed until about three seasons ago, but now we get a single commentator and occasional Saturday afternoon calls from Martin Tyler...

Martin Tyler often calls Monday Night Football for TWI as Sky Sports have a separate commentary team for these matches. Have you got any caps of the international feed?

The Premiership Plus graphics look like an update of the old Sky Sports graphics. Simple but effective. Look better than Sky's current offering and much more official. If the Champions League can force Sky to use their generic graphics then why don't the Premier League make Sky Sports use Premiership Plus style graphics? Why are they bothering changing them anyway when last season's graphics were fine?!

Just saw this on SkySports.com:
Ian Payne "will present Nationwide and Premiership football on Saturdays and Monday Night football with co-presenter Alan Smith".
So this means Richard Keys gets the Super Sunday games, Champions League games and England internationals with George Gavin getting all the other Nationwide games. Lots of footy!

What has happened to the Sky Sports Graphics on SkySports News at the moment 4:30 PM

The international graphics do look different, from the mosiac channel, I see that the international guys have a much nicer scoreboard then Sky and Premiership Plus, in fact TWI's astons are better, I wish we could receive them in this country.

TWI broadcasts Premiership matches to foreign sports broadcasters, there are all encrypted i'm afraid, sorry except on 42 degrees East!

Any chance of caps?

I bet we're the only country to get it all in 16:9 though.

I've got a fairly crappy digital photo of the scorebox if anyone is interested.

The TWI feed we get is in 4:3 and there wouldn't be much point in a 16:9 via pay tv here in Australia as Foxtel only broadcasts 4:3 at the moment until it digitises its system in the next 18 months.

Also if you are heading our way during the footie season you'd be happy to know we get all the Sky Sports games each week live plus two of the 3pm Saturday arvo games (one on Fox Sports, one on SBS FTA).

Will be interesting to see if Martin Tyler commentates the Champions League games for Sky - he's been doing it (including the final) for years on SBS in Australia.
