Didn't take long for a bit of inconsistancy to creep in. Look at the forename. Paul is in lower case (which is the standard on Sky Sports) yet the player is in upper case. Tut.Tut

There's a touch of the old Channel 4's graphics about these. Note the grey 'glass' effect on the behind captions.
I know the graphics on both were done by Alston Elliot Ltd, so I wonder if this is where the Channel 4 graphics lads have ended up?

Very nice

Despite my opposition to the ECB deal with Sky it does look like the boys are going to give it their best shot.

You also get to see the old English Premier League graphics used internationally, before they went to the current version two seasons ago.

The fantastic animations are produced by a system called Viz, it was fully incorporated last summer by Sky Sports Cricket, when all astons were driven from this system eliminating the need for static based aston generators which were used the season before along with the Viz ones.

They also produced GFX for the BBC's cricket coverage up until 1999, from at least the 1996 re-brand.

At the time, I thought they were BBC Sport's best graphics, as it looked a lot smoother on screen, then anything else BBC Sport had at the time.
