Forgive me if there is a topic already open for sky sports and this has been mentioned but it looks like sky sports 1,2,3 and extra have new DOGS sign of things to come? The dog is quite bulky compared to the old one.

Prem Plus HD has also been renamed Sky Sports HDX today - the Prem Plus channel is closing after they show the last match of the season.

I'm sure they will grow on me. I'm just not liking the fact that all they have done is took the old logo and made the bits that were transparent white and the parts that were white transparent. Laughing

Maybe someones accidentally inverted them! I'm surprised they didn't introduce these for the CWC, seeing that was a farce too Laughing

It certainly looks that way to me. One word springs to mind, why?

Slightly OT but are there still plans for a Sky Sports 4? I guess this will just be a rebranded Sky Sports Xtra but I haven't heard any news about it for ages. I suppose with PremPlus being rebranded as Sky Sports HDX (or HD Xtra) it sounds as if the Xtra brand may survive for a little longer...

Prem Plus would presumbly be rebranded as Sky Sports HD 3 in this case, to complete the set.

It's quite a big difference on Sky Sports HD. The DOG used to be a big shiny metal thing, now it's the same as the new SD DOG so because it's just light grey and transparent it's a look less intrusive. And just like the Sky One HD DOG, it's smaller and more to the edge of the screen than the SD version.

The reason for Sky Sports HDX is presumably because this Sunday there's football, cricket and rugby all on in HD at the same time. A bit like last Summer when there was only one Sky Sports HD channel, when there were two things on at once they'd put it on one of the Box Office HD channels.

BUMP - Apologies but this was the first Sky Sports thread I could find.

This weekend, Sky Sports News will be showing Wales V New Zealand football friendly.

Minor opposition for a home nation perhaps, but is this the first time SSN has broadcast live international football?
