Sky Sports News is moving to Channel 405 for Sky Digital viewers on Monday (July 31) from 9.30am . I wonder if this will mean some changes to its presentation?

I also doubt it, but it's near approaching the Football League Season, so there a good chance of a revamp.

Surely they must be thinking of revamping it soon. To my knowledge it's the only channel not currently broadcasting in 16:9. Plus wasn't the plan for Sky Sports news to move into the old Sky News newsroom?

Strange its 9.30. I suspect that next Friday will be the day of any changes, but if they are moving channel numbers Monday, it could well be then.

It'll mean changes to their on-screen contact numbers - probably to 08705 405 405 and 84405

Well hopefully to Sky Sports News. The graphics on the main Sky Sports channels are very impressive and they look extremely professional. If SSN were to adopt them, it would be a significant improvement.

And a change to 16:9 would be nice as well.

of course there wouldn;t be any change just because they've moved a couple of channel numbers down on Sky Digital.

to be honest, does it really need any changes? It's a pretty no-frills service which wouldn't lend itself well to fancy newswall presentations or people standing up. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Still no graphics change then for the Community Shield today.

There's usually a change by now, perhaps there will be a change for the Ryder Cup, that has happened before.

my bet is that they're waiting for next season, when the new rights deal commences and they'll have competition from Setanta.

There seems to be a new trailer style ditching the blue fanned background, opting more for the logo, well the shape. Using a 3D glassy version of the rectangle turning, looks very nice, it's a shame that they haven't updated the regular graphics in any way. Though their current graphics were only changed last year, and they're still more impressive than other networks.
