Also showing on Sky News. Seen it a couple of times this morning.
I actually quite like the new logo - it looks quite distinctive and bold... although anything would have been an improvement on the current 'Sky Onc' logo.
Interesting though that the Sky channels are increasingly using the lower-case 'sky' logo in the corporate style, rather than the upper-case 'SKY' channels logo. Clearly though there's no concensus given Sky's recent revamp with the capitals logo. Seems a bit strange.
I wonder if it will spread to Sky News and Sky Sports? I can't imagine it working so well. In my opinion the uppercase SKY logo worked better for channel logos, as it's a lot easier to fit with other words than the corporate Sky logo, which is a difficult shape.
I agree Benji, even looking at these new Sky main channel logos, as much as i like the numberals I feel that they would have looked better with the capitalised Sky logo rather than lowercase. I think it worked quite well having a broadcast logo, and a company/technology/system logo.
So Sky One, Sky Two and Sky Three are changing their idents on 31 August then. Are the other Sky channels (Arts, Travel, News, Movies range, Sports range, Vegas etc) changing their PRES too?
ok I'll say I don't like them, the idents need to say sky on them, not just a solid number block.
How do we know they won't have "sky" slapped on the bottom, BBC style (from the 90s)?

No, TT. There has been no indication that Sky are intending to change the others.
PS: TT, how are you coping with the UKTV changes...have you had sleepless nights over what to call Watch & Alibi ? (I know I have!)
I can't see how this style, would work with Sport or News either, I'm sure martinDTanderson, or someone will show us how it could look with a mock. Of course this look maybe reserved for the entertainment brands.

The only way that I could see it working for news and sport is if sky news returned to lowercase lettering, and sports followed, the sky font would work for both of these. A much better time when all used the sky font.
