They seem to have improved the black borders used on 4:3 programmes shown cropped on Sky1 HD, previously they were rough and soft (like how 4:3 footage often looks on the news) and now they're much cleaner and sharper.
I've put the Idents that have been aired so far up on my Vimeo account, (I Designed and Directed the Idents etc.)
Towards the end of September, there'll be a whole section on my personal website dedicated to the Sky 1, 2 & 3 Re-Brand. It will go into the design and 'making of' the whole brand in some detail, so look out for it!
Plus the Idents will be in good quality H.264 on my site. (the quality on Vimeo isn't all that great)
All we need now is Sky to take on board the abolition of OFCOM's '20 minute rule' (tomorrow) and put the ad breaks in US shows at the fade-outs and not cut into the programmes.

Thanks for putting that up there, it's interesting to see the development process. The idents look great, and the credit squeezes and menus are really creative, love the whole solid/liquid/gas idea.

The BBC could certainly learn something here about their credit squeezes from Sky on this one.
