Looks scary, tune into Sky One this morning and you will see it. I have a screencap but haven't uploaded it yet.

Is it the yellow text on blue background saying "There is a fault. Normal service will resume as soon as possible" or something to that effect?

If so, then it's a generic slide, used across most of the Sky channels.

It seems OK now

Last time I saw the Sky One caption (about a year ago) it was dark green with 'Temporary Fault' in light blue.

Was there a live announcer on? I've caught a few junctions in the evening and the guy they've got on is pretty funny and genuinely seems enthusiastic about the programmes!

"According to a very important man with a clipboard a fair few of you watched Ross Kemp's second Afghanistan dispatch last night. If you weren't one of them..."

That's a Freeview slide you're talking about isn't it? That's the only place I have ever seen it anyway

Excellent. As I'm on Virgin Media I don;t get to see Sky One any longer. I'm sure the female announcer that was always heard on Sky One does Sky Movies now?

Correct - you may see it popping up on muxes 1, B, C and D. I'll leave it as an exercise to the viewer to work out what they have in common.
