Sky One & Sky News

Some people may not know this so I'mgoing to announce it. Sky One and Sky News will be free for all customers (digital and analogue) of NTL from October 1st (although Sky One has already been activated for most customers).

How can SKY News be free? We dont have it! Its only in ex Cable & Wireless areas so how can we get it free cos were not in an ex-Cable & Wireless area!

Yeah, perhaps free was the wrong word. It's going to be in the base package then.

I can't comment on what has been said, but I emailed NTL and asked if they had any plans to have Sky News available.

They replied that some areas have it, and they plan for all NTL areas to have it, but wouldn't provide a timescale. So it is coming to NTL.

We'll see on October 1st! I'll go downstairs in a min to check if Sky One is free.

Sky One always used to be free when I had analogue for years, but I missed Sky News when they took it off, so got sky as well. I think Sky News will be a welcome return to non ex-cwc customers (me), and Sky One being free is quite good as it means I can record that and watch another sky channel now

I live in that such area,and so what if Sky News is free,we don't get volume. Or digital text. Or interactive TV. Or......

We dotn get digital text but we do get Interactive- im suprised you dont. Good news is we are losing the sally meen channel tomorrow! Phew! That channel is so out of date.

Yay! I was right. Sky News has appeared in the base package this morning. Looks good.

Yep, it was added sometime early in the morning, as I went down to check at about 2am, and it had been added (on 121 if anyone didn't know).

Unrelated, but Nick Jr was also added to the fun pack on 608, and the guest channel is Paramount Comedy

Yes, it was free on analogue satellite until Sky Multi-Channels launched in 1993. Wish KIT would give Sky One for free - that'd convince my mother to get digital!

MUTV appeared on channel 410 as well but Im not suscribing. No new info channele iter- I set up my site for nothing: Sally Meen tribute site.
