They probably had little interest because from 1993, Sky had a substantial interest in multi-channel kids TV in the form of Nickelodeon and Nick Jnr?

Sky One's pretty synonymous with early morning kids TV for me, as it was still very much a thing when we first got the channel in 1998 - Games World, Pokemon (by early '99 ish) and Count Duckula were all being played in the mornings, along with a random airing of The Simpsons around 6-7am-ish which would often be unedited, despite Channel 4 cutting the same episodes to bits in early evening slots nineteen years later.

Seems quite tame now, but I remember being a bit amazed when this episode aired uncut one morning before school!

It certainly lasted a lot longer than that though, it still had its own branding into the orange era circa 2003

They also showed Stingray in the mornings at one point, around the same time BBC Two were showing Supermarionation stuff in the 6pm slot c.2001.

And don't forget Earthworm jim. Sky had DJ kat until 1995? By a year later Fox kids had started so it lost a good amount of it shows, Im sure it went though a dull patch before as said above all those shows like Jim, duckula, power rangers etc come along.

Remember Cartoon network and TCC was also around in 1993.

99-02?

Sky did make a Kids app, and yes, I even said Sky Kids would be a good channel idea. But then again, Sky would have to regain rights to air them on TV.

Pokemon debuted in March 1999, at its height Sky1 would show a triple bill in the mornings and afternoons.

Then you had other kids' programmes like Earthworm Jim, Flash Gordon, Muppets Tonight, What About Mimi?, Mummies Alive! and Godzilla. The late 90s/early 2000s was almost like a renaissance period for the channel.

Sky's kids shows lost their own branding when Fox Kids launched. It had previously been called Sky One Undun.

And yeah, they lost all shows related to Saban and Marvel.

Power Rangers is one of the shows that moved to Fox Kids.

TCC had existed since the 1980s.

There's actually two Undun tombstones. The second version only lasted seven weeks, from September 1st to October 18th 1996.

I always thought Earthworm Jim originally aired on Channel 4, with TCC taking it not too long after.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had been moved to Nickelodeon by 1994/5. They aired older episodes as "Turtles Gold"=

I'm quite certain that there was a Sky One Kids block during the 2002-2004 orange era. Bumpers used the orange Sky One logo with 3D letters of the word 'kids' moving about below.

Can't seem to find any examples of the presentation, but this article does refer to Sky One's children's animation line-up from the time so I'm not going crazy. http://variety.com/2002/tv/news/brits-in-fastlane-1117877290/
