Bit of a worry if your family can't understand the very big warning banner that comes up if you try to watch a different channnel whilst recording two others.

They are set in their ways well my dad is, would turn on and just press all the buttons til the 'stupid' message that he didn't understand dispeared. Likewise when in the recorded shows part would just delete 'the recordings he didn't understand what they were' and when the "this has been marked as keep are you sure" thing flashed up he would just press all the buttons with ''oh whatever go away" attitude.

You can't really criticise Sky for people that can't follow basic warnings.

No offence.

Well that is hardly a fault with Sky + - maybe if they made it MORE DIFFICULT to use your experience would be better... If your dad choses to ignore the on-screen banners and delete stuff that you want kept - that is more a fault with your dad than the box surely (no offence meant to your dad)

After less than a month of having it if I came to 'record' something and found someone else was already recording something else same time. I just did'nt bother and went without what I wanted because I knew what would happen, and no offence taken I'm merely telling tales to show that Sky+ is no good for the family/household, only if you want it all to yourself. Too many cooks

I still blame sky for the 'recording failed' that happens for no reason what-so-ever and they make it seem to do what it actully doesn't.

My advice to be to treat yourself it's the best thing ever - you're never tied to watching anything when it's broadcast ever again!

Sounds like you might be better off blaming whoever installed your dish. Failed recordings are more likely to be the result of a poor installation - most people with decent signal strengths (i.e. decent cabling, a dish correctly panned etc.) don't have this problem.
