Well it better be good!!! We've been waiting ages for it!!!
So do we conclude that the whole studio is virtual? Looks it to me and they've made a VERY good job of it!
My bet, 2nd July at 6am. Just to be different! It will most likely be on the 1st as Chesh said but you never know...

I don't think they will let us down.
They have spent ages mulling over this relaunch, and considering even the virtual studio looks good the real thing should be even better, they appear to have it well planned out.
I think that the studio is totally virtual, especially considering the fact that when that bloke came in for the paper review he looked totally confused as he looked around him... probably because he was just sitting in a totally blue room with a desk and a couple of chairs - lol
I thought they handled the election night studio well, considering that was totally virtual, lasting for a whole week in a square blue room can't be much fun!

The temporary studio is NOT all virtual

Make up your mind.
And anyway, how the hell would you know? It's not like you've sat in it!!
First of all you said the wood was real, then it's fake and then it's all of a sudden real again!
Personally I think it looks virtual, even someone who posted in here informing us of the fact that the studio was vritual said it was totally virtual.
It would simply not follow logic to build a smaller studio with new wooded bits and 'pictures' as you put it (they are not pictures as someone has said they have seen them in a different colour) only to go and have to build a new one all over again, when you could simply get a computer to CHEAPLY and QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY do the work for you, would it Mr Know it all?

The studio looks virtual but I am not totally convinced.
I can understand what Chesh is saying, why build a smaller studio that looks slightly different for only a week!
I keep looking at the studio shots and some of the set looks real. Although I can't actually make up my mind! Obviously the view of the newsroom is chromakey, we know that much! I can't see any patterning around the presenter when they aren't against the newsroom backdrop so I'm wondering, is it real?
If it is real, whats the point?
Can someone get some screen grabs, please? I need to inspect more closely!!!

Thanks for the picture!
Its clear from the picture that it is virtual.
I would have to say, if they hadn't of changed the desk then the normal person would of been hard pushed to spot the difference! Its been done really well!
One more question, are they building a new studio somewhere else, ie actually within the newsroom as Chesh said or are they just tarting up the original?
If they are building a new one, then why have they moved out of their original studio's?
Also, are the sports bulletins recorded tonight? There is just an introduction and no handover to the sports presenter.
They might always do this at weekends, but I'm only just getting used to Sky News so I don't know how it all works!
