Good old Kay Burley and her mouth! Not that I dislike her!

Yes the desk is from Sky Sports.
Same type of wood as used on the SS.comTV desk.
I recon that perhaps Sky News may have a simlar desk (only larger) to that, with a metal front and the logo attached to the front of it.

I hope so!

Perhaps they may start the programmes in a simlar way to SS.comTV, i.e. the zoom in from the roof and over the newsroom, that looks very good.
I am guessing it may be closely modelled on Sky Sports.com TV, studio wise...

Well at least we can get a little excited now!

The last Book Show was today, so that means it will probably be relaunched before next Saturday. (I HOPE!)

The studio looks nice!

I'm not totally convinced whether it is completely virtual or not. The wood at the sides looks a little too textured to be real and looks like its anti-aliased to me so it could be fully virtual.

If it is, they've done a VERY good job of it! It looks nice and slick, although the sports presenter must feel left out as he looks tacked to the end of the desk!

Overall, I like it! If this is temporary, I want to see the permanent one!

i KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN.
OOPS, that's better.
As I was saying......
The temporary studio actually does (IMO) look better than the old one and yes they have done a good job of making it look good, especially considering they are only in it for about 7 days (probably).
I guess the permanent one will be totally different to this one, as this one is supposed to look like the old one, so viewers don't really notice much, and so the new one will probably be totally different!

Well, its good that they have moved.

It gives us something to look at before the complete new look.

Are the actually having a new logo? I presume so. The version they've got a the moment looks temporary and possibly why there are no special titles to the nine and ten O clock news'.

Can anyone get any screen grabs? You don't the studio in full much and I wouldn't mind having some pictures before it goes again!

Considering its temporary thought, its very good! They could of just put a desk and a couple of presenter in front of a chromakey screen, but they have made the effort! Good Ol' Sky News.

Yeah, it is very nice although a little small but hey, what does that matter for one week!

I have to admit, can't wait until the relaunch.

We should have 'TV Home Betting' with odds on the date/time they launch the new look Smile

Cheers, Asa

My post before should have read 'even the wood ISN'T wood!'

Well I am guessing it will be the the 1st July.
They normally do things on the first of the month, and last time they relaunched on the 1st October.
It would also fit in with their 'First' slogan Smile

I am therefore guessing, July 1st at hmm.... i'm saying 4pm.
Although i'm not sure... perhaps 6am or 4pm.
I certainly don't expect to see anything new on Monday, I recon it will take a while longer than that.
It just depends on the scale of the relaunch I suppose.
You never know... it might be crap!

Surely not, you must repent for this blasphemous outburst.
