Came in from college today expecting to see new Studio or something anyways. All I saw was the glimpse of a change in the studio for sure (no panoramic view at the top of the hour - so I'm presuming they are in the new studio).

Also both presenters (Jeremy and Natalie at 6) have two flatscreen monitors each, which are clearly visible moreso than the old desk or the one they had in the temporary studio.

I noted the halo around Jeremy earlier also, either I've discovered that he is the Messiah returned (unlikely, I would have thought Bob Friend first), or they are using some kind of Blue Screen system (somehere knows the name, so they'll post here bitching that I got the name wrong!).

Is that as far as the migration goes for now? Are we still saying September 30th @ 5PM

Yes - I saw those 4 computer screens too. Did they always have this many?

It was mentioned last night that the presenters and crew are training in the new studio and getting to know the situation.

They don't have the same entry presentation to show the whole studio at the moment, it just fades straight to the presenters face(s), the screen behind shows an odd hue (that the right spelling?) around the two presenters as I already mentioned.

I presuming they're using graphics, rather than a screen (could be wrong, guys here know (reLaunchNow?)

Well they have done, new studio launched this morning, other threads have pictures of the studio, same titles and astons are being used.

I'm figuring one or two minor modifications may come into effect within the next few weeks.

The studio has this raw light look which is comparable (IMHO) to the slight change in look that shows on BBC got when they went Widescreen, in that the use of light became more apparent. So maybe they will move to Widescreen, also considering the size and shape of the videowall, and how it doesn't quite fit into the view at the moment may mean a move to Widescreen.

I have a minor question to others however.

If you notice the image above, in the top right corner is a sort of alcove into another area, I'm presuming this is the origional location of the window into the SKY News Room, as the gap is identical? Thus I am similarly presuming that the location of the newsroom behind the anchor desk now is actualy the origional main studio floor.

It does look impressive, Though it is a shame that they are relaunching in pieces, I would much prefer to see an entire new look at once, I think it would be much bigger.
