Sky News Set

The newsroom certainly seems to have got brighter and the feeds are growing on me. I flicked over to Sky News last night, during that American tribute programme, and they had zoomed out a little more and you could see the keyboard and the front of the desk, it looked a lot better than the tight shots they're using at the moment.

It does look modern and fresh. The problem with Sky News sets of old is that they dated increadibly quickly - I think their main objective with this one has been to try and make it look modern for as long as possible.

I just turned over to Sky News - the new studio is fantastic, and I think taht this can last for a long time - it is very modern - the videowall looks great. We also have got rid of that awful enclosed feeling, with the newsreaders and sports presenters sitting on top of each other, on that awful desk.

When will we see the relaunch - Monday?

Like I told you all when I told you about the relaunched studio ... It's on the 30th (the rest of the relaunch)

Bob Friend is ill and should be back soon

Apparently, none of you are even close with the new logo (the mock ups that it) ... I'm told it's 'ace' ... but my friend at Sky News would tell me no more.

The Bobster is coming back then? Great stuff. Excellent to see Ms McDiarmid back after her health problems.

New logo hmm. So it isn't corporate afterall? Well, not long to wait now. I've got to say that so far this relaunch has been excellent and without a doubt worth the 'delays'.

Hmm...different logo eh ? This directly contradicts something else which Relaunchnow had previously told us !

Any more on the graphics and music? (which are also going ahead) Do they get the same description of 'Ace' or don't you know?

Good old Bob returns! I knew he wouldn't be able to keep away! Get well soon Bob.

I've heard he is returning through the newswall that has the old Sky News logo on it will open to reveal to the new Sky News logo and then fireworks will come out of the desk and the videowall will display a massive picture of Bob's face and the newsroom will give him a standing ovation........oh no WAIT! That was a dream.

That posts presents a very disturbing image! Anyway, Bob's far too young to retire.

I'm just hoping for another phone in section on Monday.

Ok guys, I think we all ought to lay off ReLaunchNow, he did get a little touchy the other day when I had a little dig.

It is easy for him to get a little insider information as his father possibly works for Sky. I guess the inaccuracies stem from second hand information... Chinese whispers and all that

It does however make highly amusing reading if you know the true facts.

Yes, Sky could of at least kept Your Call! It was one of the best programmes!

I'm not too bothered about the other shows but Your Call should definetly make a reappearence.

Email/phone ins are a very good idea and they work well. Its nice for Sky to be spontaneous and invite us to contact them!

I don't see News 24 doing that...: (Sorry, shamless bashing of the BBC's rolling news channel over)

So no corporate logo, i'm sorry, but that totally deviates from sky's current workings, Sky are going corporate again, its obvious, and sky is intergrating, Sky Active (Open's Replacement) is more proof.

The new logo will use the corporate font, that goes without saying.

Then again i may eat those words, but i doubt it.

Well you'd expect it to, yes. But if you consider that the logos seen on here are not even close then you have to wonder...

Unless they're just planning to use different colour schemes.

Also the fact that the old font is above the presenters and above the videwall does make you wonder!

Could just temporary, but why would they do it for only 10 days?
