How about this.....
6-9am: Live at Sunrise
9-12: Live This Morning
12-5: Live Today
5-7: Live at Five
7-12: Live Tonight
12-6: Nightline

In case you haven't noticed yet, I like the word 'live'! And yes, OK, I skanked the first three from CNN... Smile

Remember all the old names - Newsline (which was actually dropped before I got sky), Dayline, International (referred to in listings as 'world news and business report' for some bizarre reason), Live Tonight, Newsline etc

ABC here in America have had a nightly half-hour news programme called 'Nightline' since the 70s, I think

I think that used to be shown on sky news the next day. I think at 10.30

Take a look at next weekends listings. All traces of 'News on the Hour' have dissapeared, replaced with 'Sky News'.

Ignore the listings at the moment, they are totally wrong.
They still have Viv Creegor and Simon McCoy presenting together and those two haven't presented together for ages now! Good team though, very funny.

I can remember seeing 'Kay Burley and Martin Stanford bring you up-to-date with all of the morning's news', about 6 months ago.
Kay has been presenting Live at Five since about 1999!

Just looked at the 7-day listings (which currently go up to 1pm next monday) and 'News on the hour' has definitely been replaced by 'Sky News'. Still, I looked at the synopsis for the programmes, and it still has Natasha Kaplinsky and Simon McCoy down for Sunrise and Bob Friend and Anna Botting on Today, so who knows what's going on!

What I don't understand is why international is replaced by world news only now as is news on the hour by sky news. They must be just rectifing mistakes. By the way I looked at a couple of satelite listings in the book shop for September and they are giving nothing away. Strange is one of the magazines is showing no listings for sky news but has adam boulton at the party conferences as one of the top picks for late september.
