Possible I suppose.
Although it's good having some interaction with the sports presenters.
The people are just Sky Sports reporters, basically it just means Sky News is getting a wider variation of sports stories.
But Sky have done really well with .com TV, they will want to make a big thing about it.
But if they are to be presented from the .com TV studios this would mean the studios would actually have to be similar in some way.
By this I mean, it would look silly going from one studio design (the Sky News one) to a totally different one, the Sky Sports one, so they would have to be similar, Sky Sports isn't changing so if the bulletins are going to be presented from .comTV studios then Sky News would probably make their studios similar, only larger.. to make sure that everything looked ok.
Do you get what I mean?

SkyNews
Chesh you're trying to convince yourself Sky News will look like SS.comTV!
Sky combined their sports departs a couple of months ago to cut down duplicating work to cut down costs.
No, I would like it to look like it.
But SS.comTV was the last news channel they have done a redesign for so they may carry on ideas from that.
It will probably be really boring, dull and have that nasty little window again.
But we can always dream!
I hope some of the build-up is actually true. Also, something that puzzles me, why don't they pre-record a handover to the sports presenters at night. Just have a couple of variations, it wouldn't take long! It would be better than what they have now.
I can understand the sports being recorded but they make it even worse when the presenter looks to the left as if they have just been looking at the presenter! You can tell its fake!!!
Please, I want a relaunch and my bet is now going on 6am Sunday 1st July. I know a lot of others have said this date too but it is the most likeliest.
Yeah, my worst nightmare would be tuning in at 4pm on July 1st (for the sake of arguement) and seeing the logo looking really crap then seeing the ident changed and that looking crap and then getting to the studio and seeing the same sort of studio we have had since 1995 with that silly little window and two bars down the side of it.
Then a crappy little desk, I would be seriously annoyed if that happened and we had to put up with that for ANOTHER 4 YEARS!!!
We've all waited AGES for this relaunch and if Sky read this forum, they would know whats good for them! I hope the studio looks good!
It would actually still be good to have a view of the newsroom in one way or another. Hopefully, as Chesh said it will be open plan and we can see the newsroom for real!
They have to keep a view of the newsroom in one way or another, its been there since the launch, they can't really get rid of the newsroom. Can they?
I guess the newsroom has to be there, a 24 hour news channel would look boring and Sky especially would look silly without a newsroom behind them.
I hope it is open plan, considering Sky recognised they needed some sort of open plan design for Sky Sports.comTV, and I am not saying it will be like that but the last time the designers were in at Sky they did an open plan studio so I presume they will keep with this theme.
I really hope that they have recognised it needs a change away from the window, and put it this way... they work there every bloody day, we normally only see it for a few hours a day, they must be getting bored too!
I'm hoping for something open plan, if it isn't I will be annoyed.
Oh and if that is the 'In touch' trailer, showing all of the ways to get in touch with Sky News then that trailer has been around for ages now, they have only recently started to put it back on.
